La Senda Verde

WVS are delighted to have formed a partnership with La Senda Verde Animal Refuge Inc. A charity who have recently registered with WVS based near La Paz in Bolivia, who are dedicated to improving the lives of rescued Native Bolivian Wildlife, providing them with medical care, food and housing. WVS hopes to be able to support LSV with excellent volunteers so anyone thinking of a trip to South America why not drop in and volunteer at LSV.

Siyafunda Endangered Species Project

Vet Students, Non-Vets

WVS are delighted to be supporting The Siyafunda Endangered Species Project will allow you to participate with on the ground, hands on monitoring of some of Africa’s endangered species: Rhino, Cheetah and Southern Ground Hornbill.

It is ideal if you want to truly experience the “wild” side of Africa. Their camp is based in a Limpopo game reserve which is home to the 'Big 5'. This means you will get to encounter, and live with, elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo while working with us.

Siyafunda Conservation (No Spaces In July 2018)

Vet Students, Non-Vets

WVS are pleased to support the Siyafunda Conservation Makalali project which offers you a unique experience in the African bush. The Greater Makalali Reserve is a vast Big 5 nature reserve covering an area of 25000 hectares. Situated in the Lowveld area, the home of nature conservation in South Africa. This trip gives you the opportunity to observe and be a part of the research and monitoring teams on the reserve, your work is vital for accurate management of the animals within the reserve.
