Working together is the only way to improve animal welfare globally. Through our veterinary aid shipments, we support animal charities and non-governmental organisations - often working in the world’s most deprived areas - to care for sick and injured animals in need. One small parcel can have a big impact and change so many lives.

Often people wonder how a single donation of leftover pet medication can make a difference, but for an animal suffering, this could be a vital lifeline. We accept donations of in-date and up-opened medication, pack it up from a storage space in the UK, and send it to where it is most needed. Every donation counts and means another animal life is brighter because of you!
‘I am so pleased to support this marvellous charity - the only one I could find that was able to make use of the drugs left behind following the death of my beloved dog Duke.

I've loved dogs since I was a child but this was not shared by the rest of my family and it was not until I was in my forties and newly married to a dog lover that I could think of having one. My husband wanted a Jack Russell and the rescue centre presented three-year-old abandoned Duke as a Jack Russell cross breed. The 'cross' turned out to be Corgi - in the US they call them Cojacks! He had a foxy look, a beautiful soft tan coat, long triangular ears and ran like the wind after a ball. He was highly intelligent, possessed great sweetness and everybody, even those who disliked dogs - my brother springs to mind - really loved him.

My husband died four years ago and although Duke was 14 at that time he gave me another four years of devotion and company. In the last two years he was on heart pills and rheumatism medicine and, although hitting 18, his quality of life was good. When he suddenly started having distressing seizures in the wee small hours of a Sunday morning I knew the end had come and I called a vet to the house and took the decision to say goodbye. I will miss him to the day I die.
I was left with some expensive unopened medicines and was delighted to be able to donate these to this wonderful charity which I found through a web search and which dealt so efficiently with my query. I do donate to several animal charities including PDSA because it breaks my heart that many who love their pets are not able to afford the treatment that their pets might need. I have now added WVS to my list of charities in my will as I love their work in endeavouring to give all animals the treatment they deserve.’

‘On behalf of Let's be SMART, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to WVS for their generous donation of Drontal wormers. As a non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing and caring for cats, access to medical supplies like these is absolutely vital to our work. With the constant intake of rescued cats at our shelter - currently we have 80 cat residents in our two facilities - deworming treatments are essential to ensure their health and well-being. Your support makes a significant difference in helping us provide the medical care our animals desperately need. Thank you for standing with us in our mission.’ – Let’s be SMART, Greece
