WVS Launch Vet Practice Membership on World Veterinary Day

Fri 27th Apr 2018

Saturday 28th April is World Veterinary Day, a day celebrating the veterinary profession’s dedication to helping animals all over the world.

Here at WVS, we understand the aim of any veterinary professional is to relieve the suffering of animals and strive to provide the best care possible. Our projects welcome vets and vet nurses from all over the world to assist our projects, from surgical training courses and spay and neuter projects, to equine outreach and emergency clinics.

World Veterinary Day is the perfect opportunity to launch our newest venture, inviting vet practices to join WVS with our new Vet Practice Membership Scheme.

For an introductory offer of £180 a year, veterinary practices will be supporting our work at the frontline of animal welfare. Benefits of becoming a Vet Practice Member include:

  • First access to new trips – a special e-newsletter will be sent out.
  • The WVS Dispatch twice annually, including copies for your waiting room.
  • 10% discount on 2 WVS courses per year (subject to availability and required skill set).
  • Vet nurses who are employed by a WVS Vet Practice Member can apply for our 2019 Vet Nurse Bursary offering the chance to join a fully expenses paid trip with us.
  • Opportunities to be featured on our social media, on our website, and in our newsletters.
  • Posters and promotional material.
  • Access to fundraising challenges through Discover Adventure (can be bespoke to your practice).
  • Hands-on help with your fundraising.
  • Extra discounts and opportunities depending on how much you’ve fundraised for WVS.

Join us and be a part of the united profession working for animals in need worldwide! We’ve got loads of ideas for how you can help, and vet practice members will benefit from ideas and support from the WVS team throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming new vet practices to the team and seeing some of your amazing staff out on our projects!
