Vet Practice Team Take on the Yorkshire Warrior for WVS

Tue 1st May 2018

A team of mighty vets, vet nurses and practice staff from Parkhill Vets in Wetherby took on the Yorkshire Warrior, all in aid of raising funds for WVS! The 10km obstacle race saw the team cross tough Yorkshire countryside with hills, bogs, river crossings, lake crossings, slides, barbed wire, electric fencing, and much, much more! Here's what Juliette, Head Nurse, had to say about the challenge and why they chose WVS!

Being a veterinary practice ourselves, and thus great animal lovers, we wanted to support our profession across the globe in areas that are not as fortunate as our own. WVS do an outstanding job for all the right reasons. From education to disaster aid, training and support - if we can't be there to help by your side, we wanted to be there by giving our own support and raise as much money as we can to help fund their work.

Some of us trained more than others... but we all crossed the finish line as a team, having done ALL the obstacles! It was a great challenge and we're so pleased to be helping fund WVS' important work around the world. There was mud, sweat and beers; but no tears! A successful day all round.
