We can't believe it, but our ITC (International Training Centre) in India is now 6 years old!
WVS India opened its doors, six years ago on World Rabies Day 2010 and Dr. Ilona Otter and her amazing team have achieved some phenomonal results.
During this time, the team have operated on over 17,000 dogs, have trained almost 1500 vets, have conducted 160 training programmes (including our truck training courses - which is so vital to help provide a sustainable veterinary response)
The team's hard work, (with IPAN) has also resulted in the Nilgiris district to be declared free of canine rabies through the systematic ABC (Animal Birth Control) work aided by the annual booster rabies vaccination drives.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the WVS India ITC team, all of the amazing volunteers who have helped us over the years, the WVS India trustees and our incredible supporters, some of whom have been there from the very beginning. You have truly helped shape the India ITC into what it is today.
