Mission Rabies Record In Malawi

Fri 22nd May 2015

The Mission Rabies team are working in Blantyre where the highest number of children in Africa have been reported as suffering from rabies. They will be attempting the largest pet health awareness lesson for over 2000 children to beat the world record this Wednesday 27th of June.

This record is for the greatest number of people attending and participating in a pet health awareness lesson at a single venue. The team will be teaching the children what rabies is, how to protect themselves from the disease.

The WVS project has been busy vaccinating thousands of dogs in the area, Over 7600 children have received the life-saving messages of rabies prevention within the first week and over 20,000 dogs have been vaccinated in just two weeks!

Tune in next week for the results!
