A MANDELA DAY PARCEL FOR SOUTH AFRICA'S CATS

Thu 20th Jul 2017

We send parcels to animals who need it most, and our most recent delivery went to the Cat Assistance Team (CAT) in the Garden Route area of South Africa.

With thanks to generous donations from CEVA Animal Health, we were able to send out supplies of Milbactor deworming tablets all the way to the Western Cape.

On 18th July, South Africa celebrates Mandela Day, making it the perfect occasion for C.A.T. to deliver the vital medication. To mark this special day, the volunteers also took to the streets to distribute cat food to the residents of Rosemoor whose cats had already been sterilised by the team.

Bags and bags of cat food were delivered alongside the deworming treatments to ensure the residents and their cats were getting the supplies and advice needed.

Mandela Day is a day to celebrate the lifetime of service Nelson Mandela gave to South Africa and the wider world.

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” – Nelson Mandela

C.A.T. Garden Route are saving the world one cat at a time and we’re so pleased to be supporting their work. This is just one of the parcels we send all over the world to help animals in need and the charities striving to improve animal welfare.
