The Big Give 2022: Life-saving care for sick and injured wildlife

The Majete Wildlife Reserve is a safe haven for wildlife. Our Veterinary Care Unit (VCU) gives animals in the park access to life-saving veterinary care, including sick and malnourished pangolins rescued from poachers. Your support will supply vital medication and equipment.

The Big Give is back for 2022!

Every single donation is worth double and will help our teams to cope with the high level of demand for expert veterinary care in the Majete Wildlife Reserve.

Campaign target: £6,000 (£12,000 once matched)

When: Donations open midday on 29th November 2022 and close midday on 6th December 2022.

Where: Donations must be made via our Big Give webpage to be eligible for the match-funding.

Your kind support will enable us to:

  • Provide specialised care for pangolins who have been poached, this includes providing emergency first aid and medication in order to stabilise individuals so that they can be transported to dedicated rehabilitation facilities.

  • Improve the way we can treat injured wildlife through new and much needed equipment such as a laptop based digital x-ray, allowing quick assessment of animals in the wild, correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

  • Increase the amount of care we can provide to animals in the park by purchasing more medication and veterinary supplies.

"WVS is proud to be working alongside Africa Parks to give wildlife in Malawi a better future. The more equipment and medication we have available, the more we can do to ensure pangolins and other wildlife receives the specialist care they need."

— Luke Gamble, CEO and Founder, Worldwide Veterinary Service
